AURA, a purely Czech company, was founded in 1989. Since its establishment, it has focused on the development of logistics and document management systems software. It is the largest Czech exporter of information systems for defence and security forces in the areas of military logistics, logistics support in crisis situations, material lifecycle management, materiel codification according to NATO standards, and defence standardisation and controlled distribution of sensitive documents.
Its MC CATALOGUE has become the most widespread NATO Codification System (NCS) compliant tool. The company provides comprehensive services from the implementation of the NCS at the national level, through training, consultations, to data cleansing and solutions for industry. It streamlines information on assets and inventories.
AURA is focusing on marketing the new generation of its Logistics Information System (LIS), supporting all branches of the military, to armed forces and similar organisations with extensive logistics. The company's largest domestic customer is the MoD and the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, to which it has been supplying LIS (ISL) since 1994.
Together with its sister company Code Creator, AURA offers Publi, eLibrary platform for generation, controlled distribution and sharing of documents, including sensitive content, with encrypted storage and online/offline access.
The AURA portfolio is enriched by IS STAN – a document/content management system specialised for defence standardisation.
The Czech defence industry is significantly supported by the certified AURA Codification Agency, which provides services to hundreds of entities and is by far the most sought-after agency in Czechia, offering similar services in Slovakia.
